Student Government Officers elected for 2023-2024

The Heartland Community College Student Government Association has named the student officers who will serve for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. 

Student Government Association (SGA) officers are elected by Heartland Community College students. The Heartland student executive team consists of: 

Macy Bahr of Normal will serve as SGA President. Macy is originally from Livonia, Michigan and is a graduate of Stevenson High School. She has an anticipated graduation of Spring 2024, with a focus on Secondary English Education. 

Stephen Sims of Towanda will serve as Executive Vice President. Stephen is studying Computer Science with an expected graduation of Spring 2024. 

Brittney Billerbeck of Cullom will serve as Vice President of Communications. Brittney is a graduate of Tri-Point High School. She is anticipated to graduate in the Spring 2024 with an Associate of Art degree and an Associate in Applied Science with a certificate in Radiology. 

Andria Merkle of Bloomington will take the oath of office and be seated as Student Trustee during the regular meeting of the District 540 Board of Trustees on April 25, 2023. Merkle is a freshman at Heartland Community College (HCC) pursuing an Associate in Arts degree with a focus on political science. 

The Student Board Member will hold privileges of membership, including the right to make and second motions and attend executive sessions. As a non-voting member the Student Trustee is not considered in determining a quorum for Board action.
