Innovation in LASS

The LASS Innovation Grant is dedicated to advancing new and innovative curriculum, teaching methodologies, pedagogy, and student learning experiences within HCC's Liberal Arts and Social Sciences division.
Our faculty and staff are filled with original, forward-thinking ideas on education and student learning. This grant provides the financial support necessary for faculty to grow these ideas, elevating the impact and relevance of the LASS curriculum not only within HCC but also in the broader community.

The ALLY
The ALLY is an online hub spotlighting Heartland student voices and original work. From essays and art to performances and projects, The ALLY wants to showcase the talent and perspectives of our student community and serve as a platform for students to share their published work. The website is also a space for students to discover upcoming Student Engagement events, activities, and opportunities both on campus and beyond.
The website and platform were made possible through a LASS Innovation mini grant with the goal of creating an easy-to-use space to showcase student work and engagement activities. The idea came from a collaboration between LASS faculty, digital media faculty, and Student Engagement.
