If you've ever wondered why individuals, groups and even nations, behave as they do, HCC's sociology program is for you. In this curriculum, you'll examine groups and social institutions, as well as various religious, political and business organizations.

This degree program will allow you to transfer to a four-year college where you can focus on several specialties within the field. These range from social organization, racial and ethnic relations, politics and gerontology to criminology. With additional education, most sociologists elect to work in a specialized field that suits their personal interests including:
