Quality Matters
About Quality Matters
Quality Matters (QM) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization that specializes in quality assurance reviews for online and hybrid courses. During a Quality Matters course review, a team of trained experts evaluate a course against a rigorous, research-based rubric focused on alignment of learning objectives with assessments and activities, opportunities for student collaboration and engagement, and accessibility. Only courses that meet all essential rubric standards become Quality Matters certified.
The Quality Matters (QM) Certification Mark is an internationally recognized symbol of online and hybrid course design quality and represents Heartland Community College's ongoing commitment to creating welcoming learning environments that provide students with a clear pathway to success.
