Heartland Community College

Honors Program Faculty and Staff

  • After working as a registered nurse for several years, Jennifer started her career at Heartland as nursing faculty in 2015. She then moved into administration as the Dean of Health Sciences and is currently the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs.

In her spare time, Jen likes reading, riding her bike, dancing, and playing chess.

  • Matt got his start in higher education as a first-generation college student and Phi Theta Kappa member at McHenry County College in northern Illinois. He has taught all levels of English at Heartland for over 25 years. Matt's teaching interests include developmental education, reading and literacy, and service learning. When not teaching, Matt can probably be found working on his house, riding a bike, attending a kid sporting event, or digging through a box of vintage baseball cards.
