Foreign Transcripts
Heartland Community College will accept foreign transcript for transfer credit review. To be considered for transfer credit, your foreign transcript must be evaluated by a third-party servicer. These third-party servicers will review your academic achievements and convert them to the U.S. academic system.
Listed below are the two most commonly used third-party servicers:
- ECE: Educational Credential Evaluators can be accessed here - Applicants
- WES: World Education Services can be accessed here - Home - World Education Services
If there is another Foreign Transcript Evaluation Service you are interested in using, they must be accredited by NACES – National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
If you are interested in using a Foreign Transcript Evaluation Service accredited by NACES, please check with the Records Office so we can validate that we can accept their foreign transcript evaluation.
Transcript Arrival: your foreign transcript evaluation must come directly to the Records Office from the third-party servicer, for us to consider it as an official and reviewable document.
Expectation of Time: evaluation of a foreign transcript can take some time to complete. Other staff may need to be involved in the review process and/or we may need additional information from the foreign transcript holder. You will receive an e-mail once your evaluation is completed.
