Community Proctoring
The HCC Testing Center offers a variety of exams for the community!
Heartland Community College Testing Center is a certified test site for Meazure Learning. These select high-stakes exams are to be scheduled through Meazure Learning. Upon registering, we invite you to choose Heartland Community College Testing Center as your desired Meazure Learning testing location.
Meazure Learning testing is available on select days and times monthly and accessed via the Meazure Learning scheduling system.
Heartland Community College Testing Center is a certified test site for Illinois Nurse Aide Testing Certified Nursing Assistant Computer-Based Exam. This exam is to be schedule through Southern Illinois Nurse Aide Testing [SIU]. Upon registering, we invite you to choose Heartland Community College Testing Center as your desired CNA testing location.
Our CNA exam schedule is established yearly and posted through Southern Illinois Nurse Aide Testing scheduling system.
Heartland Community College’s Testing Center will proctor exams for students from other institutions at the request of the student, instructor, or institution responsible for the exam. HCC charges a $25 fee [payable by the student]. This fee does not apply to course exams from Franklin University.
To successfully complete your exam at Heartland Community College Testing Center, complete the following steps.
1. Provide your institution with the contact information as listed below, and request to have your exam sent to testing@heartland.edu. Exams cannot be administered if they are not on file.

2. Fill out the form below at least 3 business days prior to your desired testing date. A form is required for each exam you wish to take at the HCC Testing Center.
The Testing Center Coordinator will communicate with you via email regarding testing details and scheduling. We cannot guarantee availability for desired testing dates and times.
3. Pay the $25 proctoring fee through the HCC Business Office. Exam fees must be paid prior to testing.
4. Attend your scheduled appointment. All students must provide a physical photo ID and consent / adhere to our Testing Center Guidelines.
Heartland Community College Testing Center is a certified test site for Pearson VUE. These select high-stakes exams are to be scheduled through Pearson VUE. Upon registering, we invite you to choose Heartland Community College Testing Center as your desired Pearson VUE testing location.
Our Spring 2025 Pearson VUE schedule is as follows:
- Mondays starting at 8:30AM
- Tuesdays starting at 9:00AM
- Wednesdays starting at 10:30AM
This schedule is subject to change as needed and by semester
High School Equivalency (HSE) exams are administered at Heartland Community College through Pearson VUE Testing. These exams are offered at all three HCC locations: Normal, Lincoln and Pontiac.

TEAS Testing is not administered by the HCC Testing Center.

The HiSET exam is not adminstered at the HCC Testing Center
Schedule online through ETS.
Heartland Community College’s Testing Center will proctor the Illinois State Police Merit Board Exam with approval from the organization. HCC charges a $15 fee for this exam. Once you have been approved for this exam, please fill out the request to schedule below.

HCC Cashier information:
Cashier hours will be 8am-5pm, Monday through Thursday and 8am-4:30pm on Fridays. Payments may be made in-person to the Cashier in in the Business Office, Suite 2100 in the Community Commons Building (CCB) prior to testing. Payments may be made in the form of cash, check, and/or a credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover).

The following Testing Guidelines have been established:
- A physical Photo ID is required for all testing.
- In order to take your exam, your name must be approved for it by your organization.
- We will not administer exams after the specified deadline. If a deadline has been extended the organization must comminication with the Testing Center directly.
- Book bags and other belongings must be stored in a provided locker.
- Cell phones, smart watches and all other non-medical electronic devices must be silenced and stored in a provided locker.
- Due to unique circumstances presented by testing situations, children are not allowed in the testing area.
- Minors who accompany students and wait outside the Testing Center must have another adult present for supervision. Students who are accompanied by minor children will not be admitted to the Testing Center unless another adult is present to supervise the minor.
- Only clear water bottles are allowed in the testing room after they are checked by staff.*
- Academic integrity and compliance with the Standard of Conduct are expected of all students and guests. Suspected violations will be reported to the appropriate Director.
- All exams are collected at closing.
Some exam sponsors do not allow any personal items in the testing room, including clear water bottles.
